Este arreglo lo hice yo y le llamo “Árbol de las estaciones”.

I did this arrangement and I called it "Tree of the seasons."
La idea es decorarlo con adornos relacionados con cada estación del año, de ese modo, queda reflejada en algún rincón de la casa la estación en que estamos.
Estas fotos son del “Árbol del Verano”…
Es muy fácil de hacer, en realidad es un reciclaje, porque los principales materiales los podemos encontrar en cualquier parte de nuestro hogar.
Les cuento qué usé:
· Una rama de árbol (la mía la encontré tirada en la calle, después de una tormenta con mucho viento que quebró varias ramas a los árboles de mi cuadra).
· Pintura acrílica o látex blanca.
· Pátina en pasta color peltre.
· Un envase de helado térmico (de esos que vienen con el helado que compramos en el súper).
· Pañuelos descartables de papel.
· Cola vinílica blanca.
· Pinceles
· Hilo de algodón o sisal (del de atar).
· Yeso blanco.
· Piedras de la playa.
· Caracoles y conchas marinas, piedritas, estrellas de mar, etc.
Paso a paso:
1. Texturar el envase de helado de la siguiente manera: pintar con cola vinílica el envase de helado y forrar el mismo con los pañuelos descartables de papel. Comenzarán a formarse arrugas que hay que alisar un poco con el mismo pincel hasta lograr el efecto arrugado que más nos agrade. Dejar secar.
2. Preparar la rama: recortar como si estuviéramos podando la rama hasta que quede con la forma que más nos agrade. Pintarla con una mano de la pintura blanca, dejar secar (se puede “ensuciar” apenas con la pintura o darle una mano espesa de blanco).
3. Una vez que se secó la textura de la base del arreglo (el envase de helado) hay que aplicarle una mano de pintura blanca y dejar secar bien.
4. Pátina peltre: una vez seco, patinar con el color peltre (yo usé pátina a la cera) con técnica de pincel seco. Luego, pasarle un trapo seco para retirar los excesos y levantar brillo.
5. Preparar el yeso blanco (yeso + agua) que debe quedar un poco blando (consistencia de flan) y verterlo en la base del arreglo (envase de helado) hasta llenar las ¾ partes del envase. Estar atentos porque endurece bastante rápido, y antes de que esté totalmente duro hay que clavarle la rama pintada. Reservar hasta que esté totalmente endurecido.
6. Ahora resta decorarlo con lo que más deseemos. Yo, para este Árbol del Verano, reuní varios elementos del mar (todos recolectados por mí en la playa, menos las estrellas de mar), les hice una lazada con hilo, para colgar los adornos de las ramas del árbol, y quedó así…

Para otoño se pueden decorar con distintos tipos de hojas otoñales.
En invierno quedan muy bien unas semillas secas o algunas piñas.
En primavera, algunas flores , pajaritos y mariposas…
En cuanto entre oficialmente la primavera prometo publicar algunas fotos del “Árbol de la Primavera”!!!

ENGLISH VERSION:
The idea is to decorate with ornaments associated with each season, thus, our home reflects each season of the year.
These photos are of the "Summer Tree" ...
It is very easy to do, is actually a recycling because we can find the main materials anywhere in our home.
I tell you what I used:
• A tree branch (mine found her lying in the street after a storm with high winds that broke several branches of the trees on my block).
• white acrylic paint or latex paint.
• pewter patina paste.
• A disposable thermal ice cream container (the kind that come with the ice cream we buy in the supermarket).
• Disposable paper handkerchiefs.
• White vinyl glue.
• Paint brushes
• Cotton wool or sisal.
• White plaster.
• Beach stones.
• Snails and sea shells, starfish, etc.
Steps:
1. Texture the ice cream container as follows: paint the container of ice cream with the white vinyl glue and cover it with disposable paper tissues. The paper will wrinkle, but you can smooth it a bit with the paint brush, until achieve the effect we most like. This way the surface have been texturized. Allow to dry.
2. Prepare the tree: cut the points of the branch until achieve the form you most like. Paint it with a coat of white paint, let dry (you can paint it using the white washing technic, or just give a thick white coat).
3. Once the texturized ice cream container has dried, must apply a coat of white paint and let dry thoroughly.
4. Pewter patina: once dry, applying pewter patina (I used a wax patina) with the technique of dry brush. Then, pass a dry cloth to remove excess and make it shine.
5. Prepare the white plaster (gypsum + water) should be slightly soft (pudding consistency) and pour it into the base of the arrangement (ice cream container) and fill up to ¾ of the container. Be careful because it hardens quickly, and before it is completely hard you have to introduce the branch. Now, let it dry until completely hardened.
6. Now, decorate the branch with what you want. For the Summer Tree, I combined several elements of the sea (all collected by me on the beach, except the sea stars), I made a wire loop to hang the ornaments on the tree branches, and this is how it looked...
Ta daaannn!
In fall can be decorated with different kinds of autumn leaves.
In winter, some seeds and some pineapples.
In spring, some flowers, birds and butterflies ...
When spring officially starts, I promise to publish some pictures of the "Tree of Spring"!
